Caroline Craig MS PT, PLLC

Caroline has over 30 years of manual therapy experience. She is also a Teaching Assistant with the Barral Institute and the Chikly Health Institute and holds an active PT license in the states of NH and VT.

With a focus on healing the body as a whole, Caroline assesses and treats the dominant tension patterns in the connective tissue system and compensatory areas of restriction to help the body unravel and create a healthy dynamic shift. This lessens structural tensions, improves mobility, decreases pain, and re-educates the body to hold a new body balance/to function in this new space.

Woven into the treatment is awareness of how the physical symptoms express our emotions and mental stress patterns and how our feelings, thoughts, and memories impact the physical body.

Caroline offers a unique integrated hands-on therapy for those wanting to discover a new whole-body treatment approach. The goal is to create a healthy dynamic shift to improved wellness.

Caroline graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Science in 1985, then trained as a Respiratory Therapist. In 1991 she graduated summa cum laude from D’Youville University with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy.

Since this time, Caroline has followed her deep curiosity and passion for the body and its intricately interconnected structures and systems.

She has extensively studied curriculums offered by many prominent practitioners.

Her training began by completing the Myofascial Release curriculum with John Barnes PT and training in Craniosacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute. This provided a holistic framework to view the body and its fascial interconnections.

She received training from Manual Medicine/ Muscle Energy Technique seminars offered by Phil Greenman, DO, through Michigan State, and muscle balancing exercises with Mark Bookhout, PT.

She continued her education on muscle recruitment retraining and surface EMG certification with Barbara Headly, PT, muscle recruitment repatterning with Vladimir Janda, MD, and functional exercise training with Gary Gray, PT.

Supporting her holistic focus, Caroline pursued advanced-level training in many areas.

She trained extensively with Hollis Herman DPT for female and male pelvic floor health and urogenital manipulation with Jean-Pierre Barral DO, RPT.

She completed the Mechanical Link curriculum with Paul Chauffeur, DO.

Additionally, she continues in-depth studies with the Chikly Health Institute under Bruno Chikly, MD, DO with the Brain curriculum, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and other advanced courses, as well as work with Heart Centered Therapy under Alaya Chikly, LMT.
